The Choice MD Cares Foundation is dedicated to preventing and disrupting generational trauma through education, emotional literacy, and connection to supportive resources. We create community-centered programs that help children build healthy emotional skills while empowering adults with knowledge and tools to recognize trauma, support healing, and create safer environments for future generations.

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are stressful or traumatic events in childhood, such as abuse, neglect, or household challenges. ACEs can affect brain development, emotional regulation, learning & long-term health. Understanding ACEs helps individuals & communities see how early experiences shape lifelong outcomes

Prevention starts with emotional literacy, safe relationships, and supportive environments. Teaching children what is acceptable, how to express emotions, and how to set boundaries reduces long-term harm. Educating adults promotes healing, accountability, and access to resources that support recovery and resilience.

We design and host accessible trauma-informed educational programs, including ACEs museum days, community awareness events, lunch-and-learns for medical professionals, and emotional literacy programs that teach children coping skills, communication, and healthy boundaries.
